The U18 Competitive program will have one (1) Competitive team (the AA Nashwaaksis Lions Club Lions). The coaching staff will be returning from last season - Head Coach Brett Eagles along with Assistant Coaches, Brook Eagles, Wendell Dempsey & Brent Keirstead.
The tryouts will occur prior to High School beginning their tryout sessions (prior to Sept. 20th - see dates listed below). The top 24-26 will be published on October 17th, after the majority of High School tryouts have ended, to return the week of Oct. 19th for final tryouts.

With a high number of players lost to HS and U16AAA, there are no additional cuts to be made at this time and no 'call ups' as we are at 18. One new player is being evaluated in this round (who has paid his Comp fee to cover the evaluation). The roster, including goaltenders, will be released after Sunday's Exhibition game (Sunday night or Monday morning).

I have no child in Minor Hockey and I have volunteered over the past three seasons to assist the Executive Director (John O'Toole) in managing U18. In addition to being the U18 Coordinator, I am also a local on-ice official, Officials' Certification Instructor and Officials' Supervisor & Mentor. I do not work games at the U18 Rec level in Fredericton or the surrounding communities unless it's an emergency. I do work the occasional York North U18 'A' game, but that is only when that team is not in the same division as an FYHA Team.
