If you are interested in officiating FYHA (Minor Hockey) games, please visit and join the FMHOA - Fredericton Minor Hockey Officials Assoc. 

Courses are available in early September and close in late October. Membership fees are due by December 1st of each season and is also the deadline to join.

-- FMHOA --
The FMHOA is independent from the FYHA. It manages the development and assigning of Hockey Canada officials in the Fredericton area. Due to it's size - they also assist neighboring communities when they get into a bind. They also assign officials for non-FYHA hockey (eg. CFHA, High School Girls, AAA 13/14/15/16/18F).

-- Zone 3 --
The FMHOA is a member of Zone 3 - HNB Officials Council (which includes Keswick, Stanley, Doaktown, Fredericton, Oromocto, Grand Lake and Tri-County).

-- NBHOA / HNB Officials Council --
The management of officials across the province now falls under HNB and the HNB Officials Council. The council use to be the NBHOA (New Brunswick Hockey Officials Association) which existed since the late 1960s.  The NBHOA amalgamated with HNB in June 2026 at that season's HNB/NBHOA AGM meetings. The structure remains the same, but the accounting and management are now in cooperation with HNB  and are part of the HNB office in Fredericton. This move provides improved day-to-day support of the administration of officials.

NBHOA was the last provincial officiating group to be 'independent' of the Branch and this move now aligns NB with the other Branches across the country.
